Kitra was started by Vancouver entrepreneurs Anthony Pavlakovic and Toddy Pretty because no one in North America was refinishing kitchen cabinetry and other millwork to a factory-grade level. Everything that was being done was unfortunately of low-quality, highly temporary and would rarely ever meet the demands of interior designers, architects and licensed general contractors. Kitra wanted to change this.
Following a three year period of research and development, Kitra has created a proven solution for anyone looking for a no-compromise, perfect refinish. Our lacquer has zero hazardous pollutants, contains no formaldehyde, is non-flammable, is non off-gassing, and conforms to the strictest health-based program requirements (LEED & Green Seal). Combining this with our proprietary spray equipment and techniques and Kitra provides a guarantee-backed coating that shocks every one of our clients.
We at Kitra feel strongly that the life of cabinetry can and should be absolutely extended well beyond their 15-20 year lifespan, and that the landfills could be spared millions of tons of unnecessary waste.
