Brought my sewing machine in for repair. They quotred me approx. $110.00, said it would take about a week. I gave them the go ahead and paid a $10.00 deposit. After one week I called to see if my machine was ready and was told that it would take another two to three weeks. If they had told me it was going to take this long at the beginning, I would never have taken my machine there. Exactly three weeks after I dropped off the machine, they called to say that because of the age of the machine, the repair wouldn't be done unless I paid for it in full. What???
I was so frustrated. I told them not to do the repair, I would pick up my machine and take it somewhere else to be repaired. Two days later I went to the store to pick up my machine, but it wasn't there--apparently they send the machines to their downtown store to be repaired which I didn't know. I was told that my machine would be back the next day. When I called the next day I was told that my machine was back and it had been repaired (even though I told them not to). What??
The owner offered to take $20.00 off the labour cost because it was their error. I wasn't happy with that and offered to pay for the parts ($40.00) but not the labour since I hadn't authorized the work. She then offered to not charge me the tax, If I refused to pay the labour she was going to send my machine back downtown to the mechanic to remove the two new gears he had put in. In other words, you pay the labour or else I'll incur more labour costs by taking the new gears out of your machine and putting the old gears back in. What??
Just awful people to deal with. I would not recommend them at all.Read more Less
