Our first stop was a well-known Calgary bridal shop which abruptly turned us away because we didn't book an appointment; they wouldn't even allow us to take a look at the gowns. Have you ever watched the movie "Pretty Woman" when Julia Roberts (role) was turned away from a clothing shop on Rodeo Drive? Well that was exactly how we felt; it was not a nice experience. />
Our second stop was David's Bridal; our experience was fantastic! Even without an appointment, they connected us immediately with one of the sales consultants who took care of us from start-to-finish. Our consultant's service was wonderful; friendly, helpful and definitely knowledgeable. We were able to take our time and we never once felt rushed. Once we decided upon the right gown, we received a celebration of "the-ringing-of-the-bell" which signified a bride finding "her" wedding gown; and the bell rang often during the time we were there. It was a celebrated moment, with bridal wishes, bell ringing and everyone clapping. We were shown the different accessories (veils & tiaras, shoes, jewelry, etc...) and introduced to the seamstress for booking an appointment for alterations. David's Bridal is a "one-stop" bridal shop! The prices are reasonable; the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting; and the service was great. Make David's Bridal your first stop! Read more Less
