Lawrence Ben-Eliezer was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1959 and emigrated to Israel two years later where he lived until the family moved to Montreal in 1968.
He attended McGill University and Concordia University studying political science and graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Calgary in 1987. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in March 1989. He lives and works in Toronto, where he has been practising criminal defense law and civil litigation for over 25 years.
Lawrence brings much experience to the practise of law. He has conducted trials in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice throughout Ontario and has argued numerous appeals in the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. His ability to speak English, Hebrew, Romanian and French has been a great asset to his clients.
